Hi, I’m Erik, the person behind Wicked Smart Events.

I’ve spent my career working in events, hospitality, and customer service, with experience on both sides of the event industry. I’ve worked in conference services and venue operations, as well as meeting management and event planning. That means I’ve had the opportunity to see events from both the venue’s perspective and the planner’s perspective, and I understand what it takes to make the experience work for everyone involved.

I earned my BA in Theatre from Dean College and am a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), a professional certification for experienced meeting and event professionals. In my career, I’ve planned and managed everything from corporate meetings and conferences to social and community events. I currently work as a Meetings & Events Manager, where I oversee a conference center, manage a team, and coordinate events from the initial planning stages through event day.

Over the years, I’ve worked on just about every part of the event process, including budgets, vendor coordination, timelines, logistics, client communication, and event-day management. That experience has taught me that while the details matter, great events are really about how people feel. Clients should feel supported, guests should feel welcome, and everyone involved should know that the event is in good hands.

I created Wicked Smart Events because I wanted to bring that experience to a wider range of events throughout Greater Boston. I love creating experiences that bring people together, and I’m especially passionate about working with local businesses, artists, performers, and community organizations along the way.
